Mark has been blessed to work with Lackey Law Firm, P.C. since 2017, starting out as a paralegal and progressing to attorney. Having the opportunity to work in these practice areas both as an attorney and paralegal has given Mark a keen understanding of legal procedures, and ability to handle complex legal issues quickly.

Mark is not only dedicated to their legal practice but also actively contributes to the community. As a passionate member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee, Mark works tirelessly to support the organization’s mission of promoting agriculture and education.
Furthering his commitment to the community, Mark is also a member of the New Braunfels Jaycees, an organization dedicated to leadership training through community service. His participation in the Jaycees underscores his dedication to civic duty and his passion for making a positive impact beyond the courtroom. In his participation with the Jaycess Mark has had the opportunity to serve his community at several local events including the Comal County Fair and Wurstfest.
Crystal N. Hilborn, J.D.
Crystal N. Hilborn is an accomplished attorney with a track record of excellence in family law. With nearly two decades of legal practice, Crystal has focused in family law since 2006 and additionally brings over a decade of experience in civil litigation. Beyond her professional commitments, Crystal is an amateur historian who enjoys traveling, cheering on her college football team, and spending time with her family and dogs. Her well-rounded background and legal experience highlight her as a valuable asset to Lackey Law Firm.

Ashlyn Somers, J.D.
Ashlyn has over a decade of experience working in the legal field. Before attending law school, she honed her skills as a paralegal, and throughout law school, she worked as a law clerk and student attorney, focusing on family law and criminal defense cases. In October 2023, she joined the Lackey Law Firm as Of Counsel, where she continues to serve clients with child custody cases, modifications, divorces, and misdemeanor criminal cases. Her background and prior experience give her a unique ability to guide and support clients through some of the most challenging moments in their lives.
Ashlyn has always been passionate about Pro Bono work. She has assisted individuals through volunteering with the Bexar County and Hays County Teen Court programs, Haven for Hope ID Recovery program, Pro Se Divorce Clinic, Alternatives to Guardianship Clinic, and the Reentry & Reintegration Clinic.
Outside of practicing law, Ashlyn enjoys volunteering in her local community. She volunteers with School Fuel packaging meals for local school aged children experiencing food insecurity, and recently helped paint a mural, adding art to the community through creative crosswalks.
In her spare time, Ashlyn enjoys fly fishing, painting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. As an active member of Texas Women’s Fly Fishers, she shares in her passion for fly fishing with fellow women anglers and will soon be going through the application process to become a mentor with The Mayfly Project, a non-profit organization that uses fly fishing to mentor children in the foster care system.
